More Information:
Eun-Kyung Suh's solo exhibition, "Sympathies-Anchae" will be featured at the Weisman Art Museum's Grand Opening, Minneapolis on October 2nd 2011. Weisman Art Museum will reopen to the public following a major expansion designed by Frank Gehry. The Sympathies series of exhibitions began as invitations to contemporary artists whose work seemed in some way sympathetic to aspects of the museum's collection. Weisman Art Museum asked two artists, Eun-Kyung Suh and Sharon Louden to create a new work in relation to the collection. Eun-Kyung Suh of Seoul, Korea and Duluth, MN agreed to work with WAM's renowned traditional furniture collection, creating a large four-piece textile installation. Louden, a New York based artist, worked with the Frank Gehry designed building.
